A whole turkey breast roasted with fresh rosemary, sage and thyme is a great weeknight dinner and leftovers make delicious sandwiches the next day. Roast turkey at 325 degrees and let it rest for fifteen minutes makes it very moist. – Ina Garten

Serves 6-8


1 whole turkey breast bone ( 6 ½ to 7 pounds)
2 tablespoons good olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic (3 cloves)
2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¾ cup dry white wine
Fri Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, skin side up.

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, mustard, rosemary, sage, thyme, salt and pepper. Rub the mixture evenly over the skin of the turkey breast. (You can also loosen the skin and smear half the pasta in, directly on the meat.) Pour wine into bottom of roasting pan.

Roast Turkey for 1 ½ to 1 ¾ hours, until skin is golden brown and an instant read meat thermometer registers 165 degrees when inserted in thickest and meatiest area of the breast. Check the chest after an hour or so. If the skin is overbrowning, cover it loosely with aluminum foil

When turkey is done, remove from oven, cover the tin with aluminum foil and allow Turkey to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Slice and serve warm with pan juices

Serves 6-8


12 ounces fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked over for stems
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and diced
½ cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
1 tablespoon grated orange zest (2 oranges)
¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
11 / 8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
2 extra large eggs, room temperature
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
¼ pound (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted / > and slightly cooled
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
¼ cup sour cream
¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees .

Combine cranberries, apples, brown sugar, orange peel, orange juice, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon In a medium bowl. Set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat eggs on medium speed for 2 minutes. With the mixer on medium, add 1 cup of the granulated sugar, butter, vanilla, and sour cream and beat just until combined. On low speed, slowly add the flour and salt.

Pour the fruit mixture evenly into a 10-inch glass pie dish. Pour batter over fruit, covering it completely. Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and 1 / 8 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over batter. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean and the fruit is bubbling around the edges. Serve warm or at room temperature.
