# Introduction to Probability Models, Tenth Edition

**Introduction to Probability Models, Tenth Edition Description**

I purchased this book like a supplement to Resnick’s “Adventures in stochastic processes.” Essentially I truly loved how there’s lots of exercises with lots of solutions at the back of it. It can make this text well suited for self study. It’s less than as rigorous as Resnick but it possesses a large amount of good examples, intuitive explanations, and programs which make it very valuable for just about any quantitative researcher. I would suggest this book like a primary text to have an 2nd floor undergraduate class in stochastic processes, a text for mathematically minded researchers in biology, physics, and financial aspects who wish to learn some stochastic processes by themselves, or like a supplemental text for any graduate class that focuses more about theory. Within the latter situation it will give you added good examples and explanations when you are getting lost in a few of the mathematical formalism more advanced books. Reading through the straightforward non-rigorous explanation will help you to return to a few of the difficult proofs having a better understanding for what you’re attempting to prove.
