Modeled on the style of Julian Hennefeld “Using Turbo Pascal 6. to 7., third edition, this text gives a brief, non-theoretical approach to programming in C + +. It is designed for novice programmers with examples, but it is large sufficient to be used in a course once or twice per term for students with previous programming encounter. The text encourages active reading gives a lot of short code and relevant programs of the sample. Students answer questions on pieces of sample code and get instant feedback for self-monitoring. The authors introduce students to objects by showing them how to use some effective predefined classes (such as strings, streams, vectors and matrices) when the want arises.
